Divide and rule - Telangana and Seemandhra

To start with... Wikipedia already has two articles on Telangana and Seemandhra! Don't know whether it is something to be proud of to be updated by its contributors as soon as anything happens, or is it just a platform which is witness to history at a pace never before in history.

With Andhra Pradesh being divided into two states, today, the 18th of February 2014, unfortunately marks the division of India into 29 states.

Why Telugu Land is Called Andhra Pradesh and History of the Telangana movement are two articles worth reading. However, how many of you think that this history is the reason for the split?

If the "History of the Telangana movement" began way back in 1952, what is the reason for it to take effect today the 18th of February 2014? Is it just a coincidence, well-wishing of the government towards the people agitating or something much more to the conspiracy?

  • What right does the government have, to split a state and its people when the people themselves do not want to?
  • Have we not had enough with the division of India and Pakistan (and its ever lasting history of enemity), way back in 1947, that today we want to continue to divide and rule?
  • Are the people of India, people of Andhra Pradesh, puppets of the people they themselves elect?
  • Can the politicians do whatever they want and change their statements whenever they want for their personal benefits?
  • Are politicians the best actors worth winning academy awards?
  • Are politicians the only celebrities (because may they know how to govern or not, they do entertain) who know how to manipulate media?
  • Is such a time approaching soon when within India, if we need to travel from state to state, we'll need to have a Passport and a Visa?!
